Adultery, the second oldest institution behind marriage, as I like to say, is a poison fruit we can’t seem to get enough of. Adultery is the one thing humanity has in common because it crosses all boundaries.
In cheating, nothing stops us. We are:
- All races, colors, and creeds
- All religions — Christian, Muslim, Jew, Pastafarian, atheist (not a religion)
- Conservative, liberal, and libertarian
- Rich, poor, insanely wealthy, middle class
- Urban and rural
- Tall, short, fat, thin, beautiful, ugly, young, old, bald, hairy, sexy
- Kind, loving, hateful, abrupt, dictatorial, nurturing, sexual, uptight
- Country & rock and roll, classical, Yoko Ono
Why does nothing stop us?
Lust and desire are powerful motivators.
The forbidden
The allure of adultery lies in its forbidden nature. BallZee, shares his story on Reddit’s r/adultery —
I’m at our hotel with AP. We had insane, passionate sex followed by cuddles and snacks(and then repeated). We hung out at the pool and acted like teenagers swimming around with her legs interlocked around my waist. She’s in the shower now. And we’re going to dinner at her favorite local pizza place. Adultery is viewed as so wrong, but I’ve never felt anything so right.
Phew!
Who hasn’t wanted that? What cheater hasn’t done that? I have. Here’s what throwaway_23, commented,
“Adultery is never bad; everyone craves it. Only a few of us actually have the courage to enjoy it.”
Yup. Breaking societal norms, the thrill of pursuing hidden desires, and the satisfaction of fulfilling unmet needs, is a powerful drug. And by drug, I mean oxytocin, the love drug that generates that new relationship energy we feel when we get with someone new.
Some cheaters chase the high like heroin addicts chase there next fix.
Envy
Some cheaters express a sense of envy towards BallZee’s ballsy shenanigans, and who wouldn’t?

“So jealous!!!!!! I’m literally dying for hotel time! Have extra fun for me!”
Longing for the excitement, thrill, and passion, who wouldn’t want to share an adventure in adultery like this? In cheating the hotel meet is the standard, but not everyone can do it. And once there, not everyone can have the sort of time Ballzee had, but we can dream of it.
What makes a long hotel date fun is that you can take your time and keep the games going. When I’m in my happy place I can sustain orgasms for 40 minutes with my Magic Wand.
One thing that’s been nice lately is my BF is getting me off with his mouth more consistently, which I know he’s proud of, even if it takes 30 mins or more. That’s not going to happen in the back seat of a car, though, which is why a hotel with time to spare is perfect.
Adultery is viewed as so wrong, but I’ve never felt anything so right.
Joy
The deep connection cheaters feel is also enhanced in a long and lusty hotel meet. oboy_ wrote,
“I love hearing about this. I totally understand about it feeling right when you find someone you connect with.”
Underscoring the importance of emotional intimacy, this is why a lot of cheaters want chemistry. Mechanical sex can be fun, but the emotional connection that comes with finding someone who gets you increases the pleasure tenfold.
When my lover and I ventured into the multiple partners scene for a bit before the pandemic, the intimacy between us made the stranger sex hot. I’m not so sure I’d be into just showing up and having sex with a bunch of people if there wasn’t someone there I cared about.
Anticipation
The anticipation that builds before meeting is palpable. I get giddy. Every time I pass a mirror, I say to myself, “Who’s getting laid today? This chick, that’s who!”
No_Shame shares, “She must be single if you’re going somewhere local, enjoy your time with her! Meeting my AP tomorrow and I’m squealing in excitement.”
The excitement of planning meetups, the thrill of looking forward to the encounter, and the joy of spending time with the AP are incomparable. For me, it’s doing things with him I’d never have dreamed of doing with my husband, and all without shame. I can talk about sex with my AP in a way I could never have with hub, and the end result is we both get what we want.
Novelty
The non-sexual novelty is also something to be savored. Swimming or exploring new places together can be as exciting as sex with a new partner. There are very few places cheaters can go where they can just be another couple, and when they do get the chance, it can feel fantastic. The thrill of shared experience and the need to keep the relationship fresh and exciting can be significantly enhanced by what would otherwise seem like a casual outting.
Takeaway
The lengths some cheaters go to fulfill their desires are intriguing to those who haven’t or can’t get the chance. Adultery can provide a sense of thrill and satisfaction that creates a diversion from everyday life, much like a hobby does. Except this hobby involves orgasms and physical closeness.
The anticipation and novelty play a crucial role in keeping the affair exciting, and it's why most keep coming back. Keeping any relationship fresh is a chore, but with cheating, the mere act is what keeps it fresh. The work it takes to get away, the longing in between, it all adds up to some hot sexy times when you meet.
I’d never encourage someone to cheat, but I can tell you what you’re missing if you haven’t gotten the chance.
