Orsolya Gaal: Facebook

Look at her. Orsolya Gaal. Murdered mother of two. Murdered.

Murdered in her home by a violent criminal who stabbed her upwards of 50 times in the head and neck. There were defensive wounds on her hands as she fought him off on the main floor and in the basement. Her body was stuffed into a duffle bag, dragged from her home, and dumped by an as yet unknown man.

NYPD is investigating.

Oh, she was married and in communication with three men at the time of her murder. She was involved in a relationship with another who had been in her home before. In May 2020 she went missing from the house at 12:30 AM and didn’t return until around 8 AM — Hub called the cops at 7:30 reporting her missing, and then called back when she got home.

Most of the comments were the usual supportive ones, or calls for more info as the killer remained at large. But then there were these —

S.B. (Male)— Let me understand this…Married, living in a 2 million dollar home and 2 kids. She now needs a boyfriend on the side. Wow, proven theory women are never happy and 2 kids have no mother!!

M.D. (Male) — So she was having an affair…

Y.V. (Female) — I feel bad for her kids, but I have no doubt once the inial shock wears off and more extensive details of her affair with the suspect drips out, I’m sure the husband will move on fairly quickly.

M.R. (Male) — Married and seeing another man? Oh well. I don’t care about the outcome. She made poor choices and those are her consequences.

Editorial Note — M.R. received five thumbs up, one heart, one laughing emoji, and four angry ones. Seven of eleven readers were support of this comment. Of those seven, three were women. What that means —

  • 63% of people agreed with this asshole
  • 27% of women agreed with this asshole
  • 36% or a third of men agreed with this asshole

M.R. (Male) In response to criticism —She made poor choices. She deals with the consequences. That’s life…or in this case…the end of life. Oh…and in the 1600…nobody would care.

Editorial Comment — M.R. is right, no one would have cared in 1600, and he apparently doesn’t care today.

D.M.R. (Male) In response to M.R. — …I can’t believe her husband was with her son and she was going to a bar, perhaps with her killer. 😮🤪😖Previously with an affair. 😏 She did it to herself 💋

Editorial Comment — This asshole's emojis were sickening.

L.G.S (Female) — Probably wanted a divorce and $$

Z.W. (Male) — Married woman in contact with three separate men…oh boy. See what happens when you step out

D.M. (Male) — Interesting 3 Men-

J.Y. (Male) in response to T.P.Y. — she was cheating on her husband

S.C. (Male) — She was busy (wink wink) while her hubby is away

J.C. (Female) — It’s either her 13 year old son or a wife of one of the many men this horney housewife was messing around with

Victim blaming

Why not? I mean, the guy who killed her couldn’t be responsible for this, could he? Maybe the poor guy was just jealous? There was speculation it was hit by the hub, or the teen son did it. All possibilities because women have been held accountable for their actions by others since the dawn of time and often pay for misdeeds with their lives.

What misdeeds? In a lot of cases simply being alive is enough for a girl or woman to be a victim of violence. Today in all parts of the world rumors can lead to death, and of course, in this case, being murdered for talking to three men is apparently her just dessert.

It is not her fault she was murdered — it is the murderer’s fault.

Slut shaming

Oh no, she might have liked sex and had an outside partner — the world is over. I wonder if she could have avoided this by dressing differently? Maybe she should have just stayed in the kitchen because we all know that women who stay home and serve their men hand and foot are never murdered…

It doesn’t matter who she has sex with or that she likes sex, no one deserves murder. No one invites murder. There is only one person responsible for murder — the murderer.

Alternate theories

Not one comment offered an alternate theory to —

  • jilted lover did it
  • hub did it
  • son did it

No one seemed to think she stumbled into a break and entry when she got home from the bar. No one suggested it was a random crime.

Takeaway

Sixty-three percent of people agreed with the shittiest comment I found — 63% fucking percent. I really don’t have words to explain that.

A woman was murdered in her home by a violent killer. No one deserves to be murdered in their home by a violent killer. No one deserves to be murdered by a violent killer because they had a relationship.

I know my readers understand this. My title was designed to shock you, but would you have read this far if I wrote NYC Woman Murdered? I doubt it because it happens so frequently it isn’t fucking news.

The saddest part is if she hadn’t been a white, wealthy, adulteress, but a murdered woman of color, we wouldn’t know her name.

Orsolya Gaal — say her name.
